The 3Com® OfficeConnect® Wireless 54 Mbps 11g Cable/DSL Router is a high-speed, affordable, and easy-to-use small office solution boasting eXtended range (XR) technology that enables up to 253 (64 wireless) users to securely share a single cable or DSL Internet connection. Wireless LAN users can connect at speeds of up to 54 Mbps and at distances up to 400 feet—almost 9 times faster than 11b wireless speeds. And the wireless router is backward-compatible with 11b wireless clients, preserving existing wireless network investments. Featuring eXtended range(XR) technology this router facilitates longer range connections, providing single access point coverage in home networks, eliminating dead spots in corporate wireless LANs, and provide outdoor coverage of up to two times the distance of last generation competing WLAN solutions
