The ArtixScan 1800f breaks new ground in delivering extremely high pre-press scanning performance at an affordable price.
Top of the specification list in the inclusion of a high-performance Kodak 48-bit CCD capable of delivering a staggering 4. 8D maximum optical density. With this scanner, accurate colour values and supreme levels of highlight and shadow detail are assured.
This scanner has two scanning beds for photos and films, and uses Microtek‚s patented Emulsion Direct Imaging Technology for incredibly sharp transparency scanning. With E. D. I. T. , there is no glass between the scanning lens, film, or light source, eliminating distortion and Newton rings that occur with traditional transparency adapters. E. D. I. T allows film sizes from 35mm to 5 x 4" to be scanned without glass. A universal glass holder is included for scanning non-standard film sizes and 10 x 8" film
A high true optical resolution of 1800 x 3600dpi allows large magnification of originals (600% at 300dpi output).
Comes complete with SilverFast Ai Pro 6, the only professional scanning package that combines ease of use, quality and productivity. Version 6 adds full Mac OS X native support, Scratch and Dust removal, Grain reduction, colour restoration and IT-8 calibration.
