It's already well-known that Cocoon Recordings is a sucker for tracks that stand out of the usual fi eld of - let's be honest - often uniformly reduced Tech-House, and the past nine years of the label's history have proven this sustainably. And the Rhein-Neckar area based team Flatner/Lopazz are again two hot candidates to leave their very special mark on the summer of 2009. After all, Circlemusic manager Alex Flatner is rocking the fl oors as a DJ and producer for already 10 years now, having been releasing for labels such as Harthouse or Black Nation, whereas the Heidelberg-born Stefan Eichinger aka Lopazz has made himself a name with releases on imprints from the likes of Output, International Deejay Gigolo and mainly Get Physical. Together they celebrate a very funky understanding for percussive Techno, which is setting highly meaningful moments for the primetime, particularly by means of lascivious vocals. "I wanna take you all night long", for sure! And you de fi nitely can't fi nd a better expression for the perfect pounding symbiosis between bass-focused club stompers and economically dosed Pop elements than "It's time to make up your mind".
