The action takes place in Irkutsk and around Lake Baikal. Lyudmila and Ruslan go to visit Uncle Kolya, a pensioner in Irkutsk. Lyudmila meets up with her former husband Igor Abramovich, who is director of a factory in Baikalsk, Vadim is shooting a documentary film about pollution in the lake, and Ivan is helping Peter to test a new English cream for mosquitos. This is a 10 lesson course incorporating the necessary constructions for AS and A2 level Russian. There is a large variety of reading and listening material about Russia on cultural, literary and historical themes, as well as material for developing vocabulary and communication skills. The audio is available either free online, or as a 3 x DVD set.
