Bergans’ ultralight favorite celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2021. Helium v5 is the latest generation in a family of packs that’s been to all corners of the world (including all three poles) - a family that is preferred by extreme expeditions and normal hikers alike. For this fifth generation of the Helium pack we pulled all the stops and made our own custom fabric, from high-quality Nylon 66 and Black Dyneema® ripstop. It offers incredible strength and durability. Just because the pack is ultralight does not mean it skimps on carrying comfort. Adjustable torso length, a triple-density harness and an articulating hip belt all combine to a smooth carry. The weight is still among the lowest compared to packs of the same size and carrying comfort. Helium V5 40 is also designed in a way that allows it to be stripped down to a simpler and far lighter version of itself. And if you really want to carry light, you can detach the hip belt and the Lid and combine them into a hip bag. Brilliant and easy! Another difference from earlier versions is the diagonal full-length zipper that provide you with super easy access to your stuff. Apart from that, Helium is still the versatile and highly functional outdoor pack it has always been through its 20-year long career.
